Patch KB823718 isn't recognized by system

Hi all,

I have a user who is prompted each morning to install the
KB823718 mdac patch. We are running SUS. I already tried
to install it manually but it will not install because it
says the mdac version is newer than the target file. I ran
the mdac checking tool and it comes back saying 2.71. I
went out to the windows updater site and ran a scan for
recent patches. It shows KB823718 as being installed
successfully every day for the past week. Yet, she still
gets prompted to install the patch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
