Once I installed patch KB896423, all of sudden, I can not print from my
legacy 16-bit Borland C++ window application anymore. I know KB896423 is
related to printer spooler sort of, and that is it. Anyone here know how I
can install this patch while still be able to print from my Borland
application?

Once I removed this patch from control panel, I can print from this Borland
application again.

Appreciate any clue or help.

I have this problem also on some machines running wordperfect 6.1 or
wordperfect 8-9. A quick (temporary) workaround is to restart the print
spooler, but i hope someone can fix this because i have already deployed this
patch to 75 machines, and i don't want to uninstall on every machine running
wordperfect.
