hi ..

i've 2 oem editions of win xp pro sp1a that came with the system &
one purchased winxp home sp1. im planning on reinstalling all pcs as
theyve got cluttered with lot of junk. Now what i wanted to know was
howto integrate sp2 into winxp sp1a cd & howto write it back to a cd
i want the windows firewall disabled by default as well.

also can i download the critical updates & all others seperately like the
sp2 for IT
professionals and add it into this installation so that i dont havto go
through the
entire process of adding all the updates on the pc's again. If i can
download them
where can i do that from?

do help ..

I am unsure if the following utilities will work with OEM versions of
Windows; I use them only with retail versions:

Google for

Autostreamer

(which will do everything you requested with a few mouse clicks), or

nLite

which is not as user-friendly as Autostreamer and it is harder to
incorporate other files into your build...

Use Autostreamer with a burning software such as Nero.

There aren't that many....I've found, through lots of formats/reinstalls (I
can't be bothered spending hours or days trying to fix things) that it's so
easy to do what I suggested and then install the rest. I guess if you are
in a server environment then you want to capture all updates. There haven't
been that many.
