I have a similar post, awaiting the same reply as you. Try these first to
see if you are having the exact same symptoms:
Turn off reboot option in the Windows Advanced Options boot menu (Press F8
as soon as you hear the PC beep when you power up - before Winsows begins to
load). You will then likely get the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) with a STOP
error message. Then run through the various MS KB articles with the STOP
error and number.
