Katrina,
First try booting the system to Last Known Good Configuration :
How To Troubleshoot Startup Problems in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315396
If that fails, then boot to Safe Mode and check the Event Viewer for
System errors .
If one of the updates was for a driver use Device Manager to check which
device is having an issue.
If the issue stems from a non-driver update, then uninstall the latest
round of updates one by one from Add/Remove Programs in the Control
Panel, rebooting between each uninstall, until you find the one that
caused the issue.
If you find that a non-driver update caused the issue, please post back
here with the specific update's KB number.
