Greetings Ian,

The easiest way is just to open the main contact list by double-clicking on the Messenger
icon in the notification area and choose the Phone icon.

If there is no phone icon then you may be in a locale which doesn't currently support the PC
to Phone feature (or more to the point, the billing of).

Hi Jonathan - I suspected this - but I am a 'citizen' of the world - spending
a lot of time in USA, Europe etc..- although based in South Africa - so what
I want is to able to land calls in the USA or Europe....I am quite happy to
be billed in USD or Euro or whatever - paying via credit card - I can
certainly do this with Skype.....is there no way to 'force' the system to
give me the telephone icon...or to arrange landing with Verizon or whoever...?
Hope you can help...
Regards

Hi Ian,

Well, the service is available to those billable in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France,
Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, UK and the US.

If you change your Passport locale at http://account.live.com to one of these countries then
it should appear and you can get started and see if it lets you be successful. I'm not
really quite sure how laid back Verizon is about their billing.
