I have encountered a problem under Vista Ultimate where a mobile device (HP
IPAQ HX 2490 running mobile 5) cannot connect to the internet through the PC.
The mobile device can sync to the pc, and the pc has a working internet
connection, but the mobile device cannot ping the internet or display a page
in pocket internet explorer. At first this suggests a firewall problem
perhaps, but after turning off the firewall the problem remains. I then
reinstalled Vista Ultimate, and did a hard reset on the pda, but the problem
remains. In the past, I never had to do anything to allow the pda to use the
pc's internet connection. How can I correct the vista setup to allow the
mobile device to pass through its internet requests?
