Does anyone know how to disable the registration nag screen when plugging in
a PDA.

I have a number of devices and every time I swap devices the registration
nag pops up again.

I have registered all my devices, its just the app is a bit on the dumb
side, and sees that the device connecrted is not the same as the last one and
decides I want to register again again again again again again again again
again..........

As an aside is there also a way to automatically "connect without setting up
your device" ?

Not sure what you mean by 'registered all my devices". If you did
'register', i.e. set up your device, then it wouldn't ask again. Setting up
the device does not mean you need to sync anything, just uncheck all the
boxes.

Hi Andrew,

Are you referring to the "Do more with your Windows Mobile powered device"
that pops up while setting up a partnership with 3 options (Register Online/
Remind Me Later/ Don't Register) ?
screen?

Sorry,
But if I do register a device, swap to a second device and then put the
first device back in, I get the Do More - do you want to register screen
again.

It seems that every time a device is connected that is not the same as the
last one, the Do more screen pops up again, even if you have registered every
device already.

There seems to be an assumption that you will only ever have a single
windows mobile device per PC, and that any change simply throws the previous
device details away and wants you to register again.

There needs to be a simple check box on the Do More screen allowing us to
not be asked this again, ever, for any device.

Same goes for setting up the device - I want all my devices to connect
without setting up - automatically - without having to click the connect
without setting up button.

ActiveSync was perfect. It could be configured no to ask about how to
connect a device, just to get on and do it. When MDC was put together they
seem to have missed out all of the configuration options in favour of lots of
annoying popups.

Yes, in the first case. On some days I may dock 10-15 different devices and
each time you dock a device the Do More nag appears. Even if you register
every device in turn, it still pops up if the last connected device was
different.

Hi Andrew,

As per my understanding, this dialog will appear only the first time the
device is setup with a PC. Basically WMDC is looking for “Production
Registration” key under the following path on the device registry:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\

If it does not see this key, it will popup the "Do More" screen. Under this
key, the selection you make it stored. So if you see it once for "A" device
and choose Don't Register, then it shouldn't prompt you later again. So if
all of these 10 - 15 devices are being setup the first time, then I am
afraid based on the current design the "Do More" screen will pop up. As this
setting is stored on the device, I don't know of any method by which you can
suppress this window on the computer. The only way would be to ensure you
have that key and one of the state stored in your device.
