Pen Drive

Trying again with this one.
When I insert my pen drive it insists that it needs to "scan and fix" it.
Well it does not need to!
I also insert the pen drive in may XP PCs and there is no complaint.
I have NEVER had any problems reading or writing to the pen drive at any
time. It holds 32G.
So, one time I allowed Vsita to scan and fix, but the next time it wanted to
Scan and Fix it again.
Seems pretty silly.
Is there a way to avoid this and just load the pen drive so I can use it
without having to click my way through the jungle?
Seems to be just another Vista irritation point.

Next, of course, is the AutoPlay window that insists I choose something
before proceeding.
Why this?
Where can I tell Vista to just load the drive so I can get on with it?
I always have to click on open folders to view files. Why?
How do I fix this?

I did look at AutoPlay and cannot find where to change this bad behavior.

The message tells that there are some dirty bit on your pen drive, you may
like to run chkdsk on it or backup the data and format your pen drive to get
rid of it. Sometimes you may try to see whether there is a $recycle.bin file
on it. It is an hidden file. If you find it, delete it and try again. It is
told that to avoid this message in the future, you can make sure that the
safely remove hardware icon in the systray is clicked and the pen drive is
stopped in the dialog box before you remove it from the system.

Here is how to disable the Autoplay feature. You can do it in the Control
Panel or through modifying the registry. But be sure to backup your registry
before you modify it.
