I am English language based but live in Greece. Everything on my PC is in
English, except the locale and time zone setting, and all programs work fine
in English except 'MSN pending requests' which give me a stream of stuff in
Greek which I cannot understand - how do I change this?

Mark

Greetings Mark,

The pending requests should (sorry, I'm not in a position to test it at the moment, so this
is an educated guess) be using the Passport/Windows Live ID locale on your account as entered
here:
https://account.live.com/EditProf.aspx

Check it out and see what country you have set there as that's where all the other resources
in Messenger get their language from (besides the UI of the application itself).

Tks Jonathan, I changed my 'location' to the UK using the link yu provided
and it worked - everything in English. I then changed the time zone to 'none'
and I have the correct local time in Greece. A bit presumptuous though if yu
ask me, just because you are located somewhere the program shud not assume
that the local language is the one yu prefer to use - what happens with the
thousands of ex pats working in China and the middle east ? - they must get
very confused!

Tks again....
Mark

Hi Mark,

I hear you, and I had hoped in the last Passport update that this was going to change, but it
appears not. Maybe sometime in the future...
