What happened to the ability for each user to keep screen resolution
settings in their profiles?

If I remember correctly it was in RC1, and written up in a magazine
this way:

Vista could remember the screen resolution chosen by each user.

Because, os course,
I want extreme resolution (1600x1200)
Wife wants 'normal' (1024x768)
Kids need to play old games (800x600) - BTW those old 95/98 games are
more compatible!

Failing that, is there a VBscript, Powershell or other applet I can
implant at startup to make the switch?

The ability to have personalized screen resolutions was never in any of the
Vista beta builds and its certainly not in the RTM. I suggested it as a
feature but the response I got was something relating to not enough
resources available to implement this feature and it would be forwarded to a
future release.

they added a bunch of crap in vista, changed things around with no good
reason,
made the size of the install 20 times bigger, yet they didnt add this simple
feature that has been requested by feedback for YEARS!!

MS is arrogant and the product is Vista that is stipid
