In a perfect world

In a perfect world, users who want to use Vista would use Vista. If they
have problems they could post the problems and JUST get answers.

Imagine the Vista posters posting their questions to the vista.general
forum. Who would think that any of them would bother going to Ubuntu and
saying that Ubuntu sucks?

Imagine the Ubuntu posters posting their questions to the Ubuntu.org forum.
Who would think that any of them would bother going to Vista and saying that
Vista sucks?

Does Vista have it's problems? Of course it does. Does Ubuntu have it's
problems? Of course it does. Any complicated piece of software will always
have bugs. Programmers just can't test for every scenerio.

Can't we all just get along?

Hello Frank. I thought you would be interested in this given the spirit of
slaying one's enemies.

As you say . . LOL

Oh come now Frank I merely thought you'd be interested in something a bit
humourous. Perhaps a beer and a joint will help to settle you down some eh?

In a perfect world there would be no Frank spouting endless
obscenities and trying to be the hall monitor and Gate Keeper because
he is totally incapable of discussing anything in a calm manner and
without name calling.

In a perfect world the same predictable few wouldn't scream Unbuntu
sucks dozens of times a day and try to pretend it's garbage and nobody
might be interested in trying it.

In a perfect world there would be no MS fanboys that constantly attack
posters simply expressing their frustration with known Vista issues.

In a perfect world EVERYONE would be free to express their opinion and
not get attacked for pointing out flaws in Vista or bringing to
attention some of Microsoft's questionable business practices.

Actually what I just described is a normal newsgroup and how most,
more or less function. You, Frank and Spanky do your best to prevent
that from happening here. To a lessor extent so do MVPs and MS fanboys
that love to lecture, pontificate and act peevish at the slightest
mention of Vista problems. Again, that some automatically get upset
when Vista problems are pointed out, confirms Vista has problems that
should be discussed.

You reap what you sow. The sole reason for the noise level being as
high as it is is clumsy attempts by a vocal minority of hot heads
desperately trying to prevent BOTH sides of the story being told. If
Vista was close to perfect as some try to suggest then you wouldn't
see a constant stream of questions and comments confirming there are
many problems that should be discussed. The game of shoot the
messenger is both childish and unproductive. Yes, you should stop
doing that.

All you two do is make fools of yourselves. Clearly neither of you
have any intention or desire to stop acting like ill behaved children.
Neither of you have ever shown any attempt to conduct yourselves as
adults. One reason being you two mutts got it your head you get to
decide who gets to say what and when anyone says something you don't
like you immediately go into attack mode.

Bullshit! Vista will warn you before it will let you install an
incompatible driver. Even then you might not be able to install it.

I think you are the one stabbing yourself in the back, not Vista.

I use acronis to backup the whole thing,

That is what System Restore is for.

You keep saying 'most users", but it's only your personal opinion and
your personal install of Vista that you refer to.

Face it pal, we've all seen how you have configured your install of
Vista and quite frankly, it's frightening.

Maybe you and Vista need to separate and stick with XP.

Not for me it isn't.

That statement makes no sense at all.

and I do any experiments on a virtual machine with XP on it.

Well that only gives you an idea of how that app works on XP in a
virtual world.
Nothing to do with Vista.

Nobody screams it.
It sucks all on its own.
I used it, and it sucked !
It's my opinion, and its right.
