Performance Counter Library Values

I'm installing Autodesk Inventor Pro. 11 on RC-1. Installer works in Server
2003 compatibility mode (only supports XP SP1, which isn't listed, and Win
2000 which doesn't work) but that doesn't eliminate the other issue. It says
that my Windows performance counters aren't working correctly (this occurs in
Vista mode installation too)

Either instance, this is the given solution:
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 300956: "How to Manually Rebuild
Performance Counter Library Values"

Can this be done in Vista or is there another way around?
