Hi,

We have a windows 2003 server acting as a file server. And we have a set of
systems accessing the file server with read and write operations. Some systems
have drive mapping to the shares on the file server.

I would like to find information about the performance difference between
using
drive mapping to a file share or using direct access with canonical name.
Which one is better? and stable?

If you have any experience about this, please kindly share with me.

THanks a lot,
Raymond
