I've had this happen a few times in the early days of Vista. Genrally,
then a media file (MP#, AVI, MPG, etc) is used, it is locked so that the
Media Player has exclusive access to it.
Apparantly, there was a bug in Vista that when the file was closed, the
system thought that the parent folder was still in use. Going into the
folder, deleting the files, and then going back to delete the folder
worked .
I haven't had this problem for months now. It would appear then that
the issue was resolved with an update.
Do a complete Windows Update and see if the problem goes away.
