permissions not propagating properly

I am running Windows 2003 environment. I have have some issues with security
on files under certain folders not propagating as they should be. I've made
sure the "inherit permissions is selected on the folders". I routinely have
to manually "re-APPLY" by checking "Replace permission entries on all child
objects". Has anyone seen this?

I am having the same issue. When a domain user places files, or folders within a shared folder on the win2k3 server, the parent folder is not propagating it's permission to the new files. I have to go to the folder, and manually re-propagate file permissions to all child objects from the parent.

Have you found any solutions?
