Persistent Update. Fails. How to remove from list?

Hi.
The following update persistently tries and fails. I want to remove it from
the list. How do I? (It is not required)

Update for Windows XP (KB913670)
Australia changed the regularly scheduled end of Daylight Saving Time (DST)
in five states due to the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Microsoft issued an update
to adjust those settings. This update will return your computer to the
correct DST settings for those time zones by removing the previous update.
After you run this item, you may have to restart your computer.

Hide it -


To hide an update, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click either Windows Update or Microsoft
Update.
2. Click Custom.
3. Click to clear the check box that is next to the update that you want to hide.
4. Expand the update that you want to hide, and then click the "Don't show this update
again" check box.
5. Click Review and install updates.

If it's already downloaded, then you can do the same from the Windows Update icon when it
shows it's ugly face.

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately it is already downlaoded. I can uncheck it in the Windows
Update box - BUT it keeps coming back.

More an inconvenience than anything. I would just like to remove it once and
for all...

1. Stop the Automatic Updates service:

Start > Run > (type in) services.msc > [OK]
Double-click Automatic Updates > Click on Stop
(Stopping the service will take a moment)

2. Delete the contents of the Download folder:

Start > Run > (type in) %windir%\SoftwareDistribution > [OK]
Open the Download folder and delete its contents
Close the window.

3. Go to Windows Update website > Select CUSTOM and allow the scan to
complete > Uncheck/deselect KB913670 and hide it ("Don't show me this update
again").

4. Start the Automatic Updates service:

Start > Run > (type in) services.msc > [OK]
Double-click Automatic Updates > Click on Start
(Starting the service will take a moment)
