Personal information not shown to others. Communication error?

My WLM 8.5.1302 with Plus! running under Win XP SP2, doesn´t show color nor
icons I do have formatted in my personal information. Well, it does, if I or
my partners are unavailable, and gets back to black, no icons, when both of
us are on line. On the other side, it takes long to send and recieve files.

How to fix it? I already reinstalled WLM, Plus!, Service pack 2, I can see
the data formatted, but others... no.

Your best bet for Plus! issues like formatting and so on is to go to the Messenger Plus! Live
official forum:

As for the files, when Messenger can't make a direct connection between yourself and your
contact, it sends it through the server instead (which is incredibly slow). Common cases can
be a software firewall blocking it or a router that doesn't support Universal Plug and Play
(UPnP).
