personal messages

Would liketoknow if it is possible to block the personal messages of my
contacts. i.e. when the "what am I listening to" appears.

I amjust interested to see if they online or not and don't want to know what
they doingor listeningto

Greetings JW,

With just Messenger, you can't remove this.

But using a unsupported patch like A-Patch (www.a-patch.tk), you can patch this feature out
of Messenger. The exact option in A-Patch is "Remove Contacts Personal Message".

You can view contacts by email address, but I doubt that this stops their
personal messages, especially what they are listening to.

It doesn't -- perhaps you could try it before posting?

It is an interesting point though being able to stop personal messages from
your contacts, especially What they are listening to. Submit it as feedback
to live.com.
