If you are unhappy about your investment and alot of wasted time with all of
vista's unfriendly user options settings lack of smooth hardware and software
interactions etc. please tell us which manufactured pc are you using. And do
you think that is the real issue?

Most of my problems with vista is in the OS changes that seemed to be
made for the sake of change, adding to memory bloat, than any problems
with my hardware interacting with the hardware.

And even after SP1, Explorer is still just a work-in-progress. File
transfers are only faster in comparison to Vista pre-SP1, but still is
way slower than XP or Ubuntu.

The disaster of Vista, isn't that it is a horrible OS, its not. It's
just not as user friendly as its predecessor, and is a memory hog, even
with all its usless eye candy turned off.

You want to blame hardware manufacturers for MS's failure to develop a
more user-friendly OS than its predecessor? I doubt that sh*ts gonna fly
with the average MS consumer.

The real issue is that you don't know how to use Vista. Take it back, get
your money, put it in the bank and download Ubuntu. You will be much
happier. Then you can get the FREE OpenSores Office. Now when stuff
doesn't work you can complain to the Ubuntu Marketing Department, Alias. He
frequents this forum looking for people who want Ubuntu.

I don't wish to blame anyone other than myself for purchasing. I am learning
more through these replies, so kudos. Thanks.

This is called a discussion group? Some of you are so rude. Maybe you need to
get out more.
Here is a specific question for ya.
When I try to watch a dvd, I get the music and sound, all except, the
voices are garbled and sound 1,000 miles away. I have tried everything but
the options don't seperate out the diff between voice and sound. It is very
strange. Can you help or are you just enjoying putting people down.

Well If you would have started out asking like you had some sense, instead
of acting like one of the smacktards that frequent the group, you may have
gotten some help. NOW, if you TRULY want help with your problem, we need
more information.

You finally figured that out. It's for discussing not whining like a liitel
baby.

Starting a request for help out like you did is going to get you nowhere.
