I have vista on my new lap top - recently I have started getting "phantom"
type windows, or in other words outlines of additional windows trying to
appear behind the window I am working in. They appear and disappear as I
click and navigate on different things. I have performed multiple scans for
viruses and all are clean. Could this be a laptop display issue rather than
a vista issue??

Hi,

More likely a display driver issue, try seeing if there is an update
available for yours.

While I agree with Rick on this, just becuse you scan multiple times does
not mean that particular software will find the infection.

Just last week my laptop caught something. I ended installing 3 different
programs to try to find it.

McAffee, Trend Micro's House Call, and Computer Associates "EZ Armor." None
of them found it.

I finally ran Ad-Aware which found it and I have had it on the computer for
a while now.

I should have used it first.
