Photo Download Wizard has vanished

Hi All. I've Vista for 9 months. For 8 of those I've had no problem
downloading photos. But in the last 2-3 weeks that feature has
disappeared.

Here's what I've tried so far:
Rebooting
Re-setting Vista to an earlier date
Installing CD that came with camera
Trying a different USB port
Checking my USB cable
Checking my camera settings
Installing the memory card directly into slot on computer
In ZoneAlarm allowing the photo wizard full access


The change in the last 3 weeks is that I'm not seeing the little icon
in the Import Pictures and Video window that indicates my computer
knows that I'm trying to download photos into it. This previously
popped up automatically when I connect the camera to the computer via
the USB
cable and turn the camera on. The downloads have to this point
anyway, proceeded without a problem.


The only thing different that I've done is to install ZoneAlarm
(anti-
spy, anti-virus) and Window Washer (to clearn internet traffic). One
techncian that I called on this problem say they would not cause the
problem I'm having. (Is he correct...who knows).


Anybody have any ideas where this feature has gone and what it takes
to get it back??
