Photos down loaded from my SD memory card

I down loaded pictures from my SD memory card to my PC and they are now on my
hard drive. I am finished with them but I cann't delete them from the hard
drive. When I right click I get a message that says "file can not be found".
If I put the memory card back in the card reader slot on my PC will it
delete the pictures on my card?

Are you sure they are being copied off properly? Did you try using the
Import Photo Wizard in Vista then try deleting the specified photos again?
