Hi;
With Photoshop CS3, I was able to start the Epson scanning software
from within Photoshop.
Although I can scan in CS4 (WIA support) I can no longer start the
Epson scanning software
(Vista Ultimate, 64 bit with Epson Perfection 4490)

Thanks
Bob

What did Adobe support have to say? I'm sure you've asked them, am I
right?

See http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...nalId=kb405072

You will have 32-bit PSCS4 installed, although the 64-bit version will be
the default option for use, and can use the TWAIN interface with the 32-bit
version.

The 32-bit version is installed so that you can use any 32-bit plug-ins
(e.g. TWAIN) for which no 64-bit version is available.

Dominic Payer:
Thanks, I had spotted that - It just seems a shame that you trade up -
think you are pushing ahead - to find that some functionality keeps
step.

Flyboy:
I'm sorry, I can't help you - if you want to know what Adobe support
say then I am afraid you will have to ask them.
I came to a group of expert users, hoping for a supportive response,
which I got. (Thanks, Dominic)

If I am, in future, able to help someone else then I will be delighted
to do so.

Bob

And you were referred to an Adobe support article which you claim to
have already seen.

<sigh>

Your reply says much more about you than about me. Sad.
