Using Windows Media Player, I copied a video file to a thumb drive but the
video file has a PHP file extention. Windows Media player will not run the
file on the thumb drive. Should I change the file extention or what?

..php is not a video format...
what software created the file?

Here's some info on the .php extension:

While at a web page, I selected a video file to play. Windows media player
appeared and for many minutes the file was "buffered". When the buffering was
complete, I played the file and it ran just fine so I selected copy to
removable media thus I copied the 22mb file to a thumb drive.
