Alright boys I took your advice about Vista Ultimate, I got 4 gigs o
DDR2 memory, 2 x 2gb. When I look in the task manager it says I'm usin
24% of Physical Memory. And When I play COD 4 it will either freeze o
give me a BSOD briefly then restart itself

Any Ideas on why its doing this

All I have on while playing is whats in the task bar

ATi CC
Teamspea
Xfir
AVG 7.
and my Sound driver

Your graphics driver would be my guess ...the card has 256MB?
RAM is less important than the GPU.

*Might* be ram out of spec. *Might* be power supply too small
or out of spec. Probably not heat because of immediate restart. Quick
test for ram is remove 1/2 and see if problem goes away, then swap in removed
part. My guess is NOT ram because ram problems almost always manifest as
RANDOM odd behavior and not as do exactly this and core dump.

Could also be bad caps on motherboard or a bad motherboard. Or
even a bios bug that's only triggered in certain 3d modes. Anything at all
in event log???

If your bios allows such adjustment lower bus speed by 20%. If that
works my guess would be unstable motherboard components.

Oh, the game restarts? Not the machine?

You're right though, could be graphics driver... If that were the
case wouldn't he see problems in other games or even day to day use? Maybe
not, good call...

I ran it on spec it ran fine, but i also updated the gfx driver and ever
since i updated the driver its been doing this its not all the time
though, its like random. I just played a couple rounds and it never
locked up but when i went back in the play with my girlfriend the very
first round it locked up i had to shut it off by flipping the switch on
the psu. but when I came back i was fine a played a couple more rounds
and i was fine.

drop the over clocking, you are probably over heating.

has nothing to do with a .2 ghz increase, the heatsink from the get g
was malfunctioning, returning it tommorow. Lucky I was able to get bac
in to the bios and downgrade it back to original setting
