Picture Gallery assistance/help

Hi All,
Firstly many thanks for your time in reading this question,

My issue is that in picture gallery when i open it it shows ALL m
picture on the computer and i am not sure how to stop it from doin
this, on my wives laptop it only shows pictures that are placed in th
picture file/folder.

For example if i drag a new folder on to my desk top containin
pictures thery are indexed directly in to picture gallery, I would lik
to stop it from doing this as when i do the drag a drop on my wives the
aren't shown in picture viewer libary they are just opened with it.

Hope this is enough information to fine the correct button to reset!!
am sure that you can all deduce that I am in now way technicall
gifted!!!

Many thanks for the reply, have read and have achieved the aim remove
said folder all good now.
