You you say the computer keeps freezing in screen saver mode, do yo
mean the screen saver lock up completely, or it seems to stutter? If th
latter, then there are a number of factors than can cause this. Fo
example
- Insufficient memory - the screen saver stutters because there i
not enough memory on the syste
- Interference - background indexing and/or scheduled defrags ca
also cause a scren saver to stutte
- Onboard graphics - the graphics card is using memory shared wit
the main system ram. This is enough to bring any system to it's knee
- Graphics drivers - the graphics drivers may need to be update
- CPU - the CPU on your system may not be enough to cope with th
processing requirements of all running tasks, including the scree
saversFor example, the Photo Gallery slideshows and associated scren save
never worked properly for me on an AMD 4800+ Dual Core with 4GB o
DDR400 memory. Now, however, on an AMD Phenom 9600 Quad Core with 4G
DDR2-800 memory, they run fine
If your could be more specific as to the exact nature of your problem
someone may be able to provide more assistance
