Hey,

any of you other cnuts using IE8?
I've just been offered IE8 for Vista x64 during the standard windows update
which is a bit of a surprise.

I'd give it a go but don't feel that compelled to just yet.

Does it **** up internet banking and online shopping as new releases of IE
usually do?

Ta

I installed it on two XP machines.

On my GF's laptop it worked perfectly

On my own machine it made my whole system unstable so I uninstalled it
and luckily no harm was done.

At that point I switched over to Linux for once and all and said to hell
with it.

I installed it just now, apart from it telling me that children's BBC is
similar to Google it seems pretty good.

IE8 hasn't been offered to me during AutoUpdate. Might be because I'm a
cheap ****, ofcourse.

I've been using it for a day or so now, it's actually a really good
improvement over IE7.
I was pretty shocked to see it being forced down my throat, especially for
64bit Vista.
Still it's not been that much use so I may find it ****s up somewhere but
there's a compatibility button to press if a site doesn't work properly and
it reverts back to the IE7 way of doing things.

The biggest improvement is the address bar and the way it roots around in
your faves and history to see if you're after something you've been to
before.
Could be embarrassing for some though.

I'm certain you'll approve.

Get Windows 7 RC, free untill febr. 2010, ya cheap bastard! It's running
great!!!
<Clean version>
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4869...d_7100_x86_DVD
Build: 7100.0.090421-1700
SIZE: 2530975965 bytes
CRC: E8A1C394
MD5: 8867C13330F56A93944BCD46DCD73590
SHA1: 7D1F486CA569EFFFFB719CFB48355BB7BF499712
IE 8 is the default browser in 7 RC and running "acceptable", but I use
Opera for everyday browsing.

TA.
As a MSDN subscriber, I have access to RC's already. W7 wouldn't install
on my test box and I couldn't be arsed to find out why not. I'll give it
a try on another machine when I find the time.
