Please folks! If you want to try the Windows 7 experience - get it from the
official source, not Bit Torrent.

Unbelievable how many do this (Bit Torrent ).And then they wonder why it creates a
problem and Windows 7 is junk. Ignorance sometimes does not pay

I don't get why people would do that when they can currently get it for
FREE. It makes no damn sense.

I don't think anyone downloads Ubuntu from Torrent. Perhaps, an idiot like
you would do.

Hi, it was not necessary to download via torrents anyway. If you do your
homework properly, you get a chance to read about the specific file
before you download it. The torrents are a valuable tool to download files
not otherwise available.

Sure they are a valuable tool if you don't mind viruses in your download

The whole "all torrents have viruses" thing has been spread by the
software makers to discourage people from downloading things with
bittorrent, they used to say the same thing when P2P was huge. Yes, its
true some do have viruses but for the most part, the files are fine.

I can understand that you might not approve, but do you really think
it makes "no damn sense"? Off-hand I can think of a few reasons why
people might do it. They might not be MSDN subscribers, but not be
willing to wait the few days until it's available for everyone. They
might be MSDN subscribers but be unwilling to wait until the servers
are back up. They might be unhappy with the speed of the download and
find that bittorrent is a faster alternative etc. etc.

Of course, anyone who downloads software from an untrusted souce
without taking any precautions is foolish if they then treat it as if
it were trusted - and if they did end up with a trojaned version,
well, that's pretty dumb - running md5 against an iso isn't hard.

It's a pretty good tool for downloading files which are otherwise
available too.
