Hi Hugo,

You should find interesting informations about in-place migration on the
dedicated technet pages here :
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...8WS.10%29.aspx

Good luck for ur upgrade!

PS : please note that this is a french newsgroup, so you should try to
speak french next time

Regards,

Hello Hugo,

I prefer allways a fresh installed machines as additional DC in the domain,
this way you have also redundancy with a second DC in it. This way also no
user downtime will be there.

See here about:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...pportedUpgrade

Windows Server 2008 R2 supports more "features" than Windows Server 2008. To
promote a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controller, you need to update the
schema version according.

You need to run the following command to on your DC to update Schema
version.

adprep /forestprep on the schema operations master
adprep /domainprep on the infrastructure operations master
adprep /domainprep /gpprep on the infrastructure operations master

For more information about Adprep on Windows Server 2008 R2, please refer
to:
