In-place upgrade windows server 2008 32-bit to 64-bit

Hi,

we have two domain controller with operation system Windows Server 2008
Standard in one domain. First one has installed Windows Server 2008 Standard
32-bit edition and second one has installed Windows Server 2008 Standard
64-bit edition. My question: can I in-place upgrade first server from
Windows Server 2008 32-bit to Windows Server 2008 64-bit operation system?

Hello ,

It is not possible to change OS architectur witjh an upgrade. You have to
demote the server to remove it correct from the domain, cleanup AD sites
and services and DNS from the machine and then reinstall the server.
