more right? anywho yeah my mother's friend offered to give me 600$ for
it and then id save the rest up from working this summer, but it would
be my first mac so it be completly new compared to windows and also i

Windows can do anything that Mac can do at the price range that you're
talking about. I know from experience. My friends and I use Windows in our
small business for video editing and photo work. And we sell and publish our
works that we created on Windows Vistas and XP's.

To answer your other questions regarding which Mac is better, you need to go
to Apple's websites.

Why are you asking for advice on a Mac in a Windows newsgroup? If you were
travelling to France would you want a Japanese tour guide? I use a MacBook
Pro but it is simply outclassed by my wife's HP dv6000z. My two Quadcore
desktops leave her HP in the dust. The speed of the cpu is important, but
the difference between 1.6 and 2.1 ghz isn't as great as it sounds. In any
case the Apple discussion groups under the Support tab on apple.com is where
you want to go for advice on the differences between a MacBook and a MacBook
Pro. The graphics adaptor is the most important one for your purposes.

Apples are a lot more expensive than PCs and you will get a lot more
performance for your money with the PC. You may want to rethink the decision
and save the money you would have to spend on the Mac, to use on getting a
better PC laptop plus editing software. Just my opinion.

Instead of dumping a perfectly good laptop for a MacBook, you might want to
consider getting a decent camera for use in your course next year..

No it's not. It is of no importance at all really. For Photoshop,
processor speed is very important, then amount of RAM when making large
files, and then disk speed for scratch disk on very large files.

I would heartily recommend a remedial English class first. You could learn
about grammar, punctuation, capitalization, etc. That would be much more
help to you.

Why didn't you suggest OpenSores office with a dose of that crippled OS
Ubuntu?

Definately get a Mac. If you are not ready to leave windows yet, run it
as a virtual machine on your mew shiny mac computer.
