Playback of burned cd's

After burning cd's in Windows Media Player I find they will not play on my
other cd players why? I use Vista Home edition and my laptop is an inspiron
1720

Perhaps you burned them as data CD's instead of audio CD's? A lot of CD
players can only play 'normal' audio CD's. In WMP, click the little
arrow right below the Burn-button at the top, and make sure Audio CD is
selected.
