Playlist trouble after downloading itunes

I downloaded itunes since i have an ipod now sooooooooooo now in media player
my playlists won't come up at all and it's really making me mad. I didn't
know itunes could effect media player. Does anyone know the problem and how
to fix it?

What version of WMP and Windows?

The default location for playlists is My Music\Playlists. If you use
Windows Explorer to navigate to that folder, can you see them there? If
so, try dragging the files to WMP's library manually.
