Can somebody please explain how to turn off all the stupid "you don't have
permission to do this" warnings in Vista? I am the only person who uses my
computer, I installed all the software on it, and I don't need persmission
from anybody thank you.

I just tried to run Microsfot Word "detect and repair" feature, and after
starting to run, it told me that I don't have permission to access some
folder in system32. So I manuallyfixed the permissions on that, nad then
there wasn another, then another etc.

MS makes a product and strong arms OEMs to support it and you think the
only reason is to make it cheaper for the consumers!? Man, are you naive.

It certainly is a scam. Microsoft wrote the bloatware and is unable to
support it, yet they want some OEM to support it? The source code is
CLOSED, so it's impossible for anyone to support Vista, but Microsoft. And
as I've stated, even Microsoft is having a hard time supporting Vista
properly.

Just look at all the problems users have had when a new update comes down.
Some users are reporting that they can't even get back into Vista after an
update. How in the hell can an OEM possibly support this **** when it's
Microsoft delivering these "updates"? All an OEM can do is suggest that
their customers re-install the original provided with the computer. Of
course, all Microsoft's "updates" are then lost along with the user's data
and newly installed apps. It's a COMPLETELY idiotic system from the getgo.

These OEM versions exist, not for technical reasons, but simply marketing
reasons. Microsoft is interested in getting Vista on as many computers as
it can, so through the convoluted and idiotic OEM marketing scheme it does
this. Once on a computer, Microsoft hopes to milk the consumer further by
selling them other Microsoft crapware.

Yes, the OEM prices are lower. But those prices are probably what Windoze
should be priced at. The Retail versions are insanely over-priced, making
the OEM prices look like a bargain. Again, it's all about marketing and
screw the end-user. That's how Microsoft operates.

Cheers.

Could be this naivety by some around here might be in direct proportion to
the amount of Microsoft stock they hold? The whole Microsoft marketing
machine is a scam and everybody knows it, from the OEMs to anyone with half
a brain. (I exclude Francis in this category ... he doesn't know ****).

Cheers.
