I really hope there is someone out there to help me...I had downloaded
updates from WU site and d/l&inst'd them and went to reboot.....no
reboot...sort of...then comp failed to startup properly....had motherboard
replaced. Still will not updatethru d/l nor install....tried one of solutions
but dinna work saw one reply to re-register dll's and now cant find subject
on it.....am running XP home Intel dualP4 cpu's@300ghz Hyperthread 512mbRam
this all happened mid november'05....it goes thru the paces to update and
then fails to download and also fails to initialize install.
Get an error "ASN1 bad tag value met" and another after that saying "set up
error installation did not complete" only after i manually download the files
from diff page on microsoft/windows update pages .
