Please Help...blank screen after KB912919 install.

I installed the new security update this morning and restarted my PC. The
boot screen comes up and the Windows XP logo screens appears but after that
nothing but a blank screen appears. I can't see the sign on screen but the
PC is on. All this started after the reboot from the security update
KB912919. I using a GeForce FX5200 graphics card. Windows XP Home SP2.
Please Help!

I have just the same problem and no idea how i should solve it! I tried to
roll the system back, but it didn't help me.
Please help me!!

I have an nvidia GeForce FX5700, and have experienced similiar problems. The
difference is that I never even see the XP logo - no screen at all, but the
menu buttons on the monitor still work, so I knew the display was live. It
appears that this update doesn't play nice with nvidia drivers. BTW, sorry
this isn't a helpful reply, but I wanted to report my problem in an existing
thread, and I believe we're in the same boat.

Problem solved. I booted up in safe mode and reinstalled the Nvidia drives
and everything works now.

you're lucky. It didn't help me and I was made to reinstall the system at
all...
