PLEASE HELP... INTERNET EXPLORER PROBLEMS

I have just downloaded Service Pack 2; and now, I can't even access the
internet through Internet Explorer... I can't do other things either, such as
access the "control panel" of my computer... it keeps asking me to "debug,"
but when I do, it just gives me an error message. Please help...
