please help me with vista

can anyone tell me how to hook a microphone up to vista... vista is th
worse program out on the market right now... they got more issues tah
anything i ever seen,,,, i hate vista and i will tell others do not bu
vista,,, it will be nothing but a headache....

can someone tell me how to hook mic up i plug it in but desktop mic to
the back of the computer and when i go to yahoo messenger it wont let m
talk.. when someone else talk to me on yahoo messenger i cant not hea
them my speakers wont even pick them up... what the heck is wrong wit
vista... is there drivers or something missing... pleaseeeeeeeeee
beg for help...

For hearing others: Do you have sound playback in programs other than Yahoo
Messenger?

For your mic: Right click on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the
Taskbar and select Recording Devices. In the Recording Devices window, right
click on an empty area, and check both "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show
Disconnected Devices". Highlight Microphone and press the Set as Default button.
Press the Properties button to set up your mic.

Stop WHINING and bitching and you will get a lot further. What is wrong is your
judgmental attitude.

Yahoo Messenger is not fully Vista compatible -- Yahoo's problem -- not Vista's.

It is not possible to get voice in Yahoo, and Yahoo are aware and one
assumes that they are trying to fix the problem..

Vista is not the culprit here..

The problem is not Vista, it's the person who cannot figure out on their own
how to set up microphone thru yahoo. Why don't you ask for help in yahoo,
thru them instead of here. I'm tired of reading dumb questionis, doesn't
anyone know how to use search???

Vista is great, and I love it since I got it in April. Works great, it is
fast, and is what I wanted it's better than xp.

You don't. You'd "hook" the microphone to the appropriate input jack on
your computer's sound card. (See manual for instructions and pictures.)

Vista isn't a program, it's an operating system. Until you learn the
difference, you've absolutely no chance of ever successfully using any
computer, regardless of operating system.

And this is after you followed the sound card's manufacturer's and
Yahoo's instructions for congiguring the sound card, the microphone, and
the Yahoo software?

The computer to computer audio works. It is the confence calls that don't
