Please clarify exactly what you did and what you mean by "lost the
recovery". These links will help with your next post:

If you mean you lost the recovery partition for your OEM computer (HP, Dell,
etc.) when you did partitioning work, there is no way to get it back except
by doing a restore to factory condition with recovery discs. If you
neglected to make recovery discs, contact your computer mftr. and purchase a
replacement set. This is usually very inexpensive.

Call the place where you purchased your PC. They can send you new disks.
Store them in a safe place.

If you mean, "I have re-partitioned my hard drive and lost the recovery
partition, how do I get it back?", you would need to contact your PC
manufacturer and have them tell you how you can recover the partition. It
will likely involve buying recovery media from them and wiping the PC again
to restore it to where it was.

If you mean something else please provide full details as to what you have
done and we will do what we can to help.

Actually i have a toshiba portege pc which i bought it just a few month
ago and exactly like that I have re-partitioned my hard drive a fe
weeks ago and lost the recovery partition. right now i do not kno
weather it is an important problem or not
after i contacted my pc manufacturer, they gave it to me in a "CDs
instead
so how can i get it back from the "CDs" to the hard driver.thank

Hint: before the problem happened, when i open "The Toshiba Recover
Disc Creator" there was no problem , i mean i could create it with n
problems. But right now when i try to open it i get the message below:

No HDD Recovery Area
The Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator can not be launched

so how can i get it to "the before" state so i can launch it and eve
reformat with no problems and no need for the "CDs". thanks agai

I guess I'm a little confused. You repartitioned your hd an
reinstalled your operating system. The recovery partition save
information like restore points. Are you saying you don't have
recovery partition

Hi degeniuss

Reinstall with the Toshiba recovery DVD's.

I think he is talking about the lack of a recovery partition - not
shadowstorage (restore points). Usually, the recovery DVD that he got
from the manufacturer should recreate the recovery partition. But it
looks like he did not have to reinstall the system since he has
repartitioned the drive - just erased the former recovery partition. If
he does as theog says, he might get the recovery partition back -
provided he allocates sufficient space (usually about 10GBs) for D:.
