Hi
i'm really upset right now with vista ultimate x86

a few hours ago i finished installing 3d max9 on my computer then did a
reboot now it has a blue screen saying
Page_fault_in_nonepaged_area

i've tried everything
safe mode
recovery
all the boot options bascially
and everytime it either resets or the blue screen comes up

when i put the vista disc in, it doesn't even have a reinstall
function, how stupid is that!!!!

i've also tried to pull the ram out and change wif my other rams, still
doesn't work
i boot with my other hard drive and everything is fine ust that when i
try boot my vista ultimate the stupid blue screen pops up every single
time.

any suggestions?
i really don't want to reinstall again >< i mean it takes ages to set
everything up again T_T

comp spec
q6600
DS3-R motherboard
2 gigs ram
250g seagate
320g maxtor

thanks
i've read up on other forums but no solution. could this be a driver
issue? if so how can vista be so stupid and not let me start ><
p.s anyone know how i can reinstall cos it i boot from disk it just
loads the damn vista and then crashes, this is worse than the xp
recovery

update i ran the vista mem test and it freezes at 21% for lik 1 hour so
i think it might be ram problem

however when i book my xp64 bit on another hard drive on the same
system everything works? can this be possible? that it works on 1 but
not the other?

This is actually very common. Vista is using an area of RAM for something
crucial, in this case likely a driver, where the other OS may not even be
using this area of RAM. Solve the RAM problem and it is very likely Vista
will boot OK.

so does that mean its a ram problem or os problem? i can't figure out
if its my ram or hard disk atm.
How can vista still try to acces the same area of the ram after several
restarts and cold boots? i thought ram is random access memory and that
it gets reset everytime u start ur comp?

You tested the RAM. It failed. Change it out.

It is most likely a RAM problem. Because the test froze and didn't give you
an actual error it may be that the RAM test failing is just a symptom of a
deeper problem like a bad motherboard, bad PSU, or something overheating. At
this point your best troubleshooting method would be to switch out the RAM.
