Hi, can anyone help me with this, my brother's computer has suddenl
stopped working. It was working fine before he went to bed but when h
woke the next morning everything went down - avg, windows defender etc
It then said something about critical files. When he restarted window
loaded but then a blue screen came up. Vista log report said svc hos
and others never started or crashed on starting. (Possibly sai
something other than svc but we are'nt sure). He tried to load from dis
but it says WINDOWS ERROR, PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA. When loadin
without boot disc it says HAL.DLL WINLOAD EXE FILE IS MISSING O
CORRUPTED. He also checked his ram, he has 3 sticks ( 1 is 512 and 2 ar
256 ) but only 2 banks so he removed his 512 which he said looks ( i
his words ) frazzled. He plugged his spare 256 in and when he turned i
back on it said DMI POOL DATA SUCCESS but then reverts to WINDOWS ERRO
OR HAL.DLL CORRUPTED. I apologise if all this seems a bit strange bu
know almost nothing about computers and my brother can't ge on here t
post. Any help would be massively appreciated, thanks. P.S. Incase
never said or made it clear he has windows vista i think its home o
premium edition
