I know that stereo mix is somewhere in Vista but it seems to depend on
drivers or something. I am suggesting they make this a standard feature like
on XP.

I have tried many things, such as updating my drivers and "Show
disabled/disconnected devices" in the Recording Devices section. I know there
are some videos and suggestions going around saying "Show Disabled Devices"
is the way to do it, but either it doesn't work anymore or it doesn't work
for everyone because I know several people who can't get STEREO MIX to show
up no matter what, myself included.

Please Microsoft, make this a standard feature!!!

This is NOT up to MS, it's up to the hardware mgfr. to write
this capability into the hardware driver. When it is, the option
shows up in Mixer, etc. You can't just wish it to be there by
yelling at the writer of the OS.
