Lets PLEASE lets leave behind the quarrel if Vista is good or not.

Apparently there is too much controversy on this subject, others love it
others hate it.

I say we stop talking about that, whatever is done is done, and focus on
helping the people here with problems.

Isn't it the purpose of these forums, to voice your opinion ? If
people have complaints they have a right to speak up.
My personal experience is that Vista runs ok most of the time but I
CANNOT understand the stupid WindowsExplorer they put in this OS:
Specifically what on earth they were thinking when they put "Slide
Show" button in every folder but no COPY, CUT, PASTE, DELETE etc
buttons. Am I going to "SLIDE SHOW" in in "C:\" folder !!!!????. These
buttons were the most USEFUL feature of Explorer. Why did they take
away the ability to customize the toolbar buttons? I think MORONS
must have redesigned the Windows Explorer and I thought MS employs the
best and brightest ....Good day.

You do know you have control of your folders and how the dynamic menu
changes depending on what folder template you choose don't you?

Sounds like all your folders have been set to use the Pictures and
Videos template. Right click a folder select properties then customize.

You can also add the old Menu Bar back if you really need that. But
Personally I find the right click options much easier to access then to
make a selection travel up to a toolbar and click yet another pulldown
or in your case/wish a button.

Wishful thinking, really. There will always be those out there tha
know Vista works for them, and there will always be opposing views. Tha
is the nature of people

But I do agree with you here. We should all just concentrate o
providing meaningful solutions to those who need it. Many of the post
to which I have replied have attempted to help the posters, but the
some dimwitted troll barges in and confuses the issue by postin
completely unrelated garbage

You are correct Sacred Heart about your frustration

But I have a solution for you

see this "ADD ON" for windows explorer that can add toolbars with iconds
that do all that!

Links: get it here http://qttabbar.wikidot.com/

See most of the functions here:
http://qttabbar.wikidot.com/local--f...tn_Default.png

and with the file tool plugin here http://qttabbar.wikidot.com/plugins

you get these:

A nice page with help on how to install here:

Tell me if this helps

I know this is a no-rant post but I gotta tell you Vista BITES and I hope the
makers know it! It's great for the average computer user who needs their
computer to take care of THEM, but HORRID for those of us who actually USES
their computer 24-7! I just bought this new computer with Vista. as a
business owner it's cost me an arm and a leg, half my stuff doesn't work with
it, it takes up too much memory, not to mention I'm SICK OF POPUP WINDOWS
asking me if I'm sure I want to do something! Sorry but some of us aren't
that stupid!!!! I'm taking the computer back and buying a MAC!
