Hi sweetyzhuzhu555,
Are you still having trouble with the Chinese language pack?
If you are looking for how to access the Chinese language input (typing in
Chinese on your computer), then I may be able to help you. As I understand
it, Vista comes with a set group of language inputs (similar to the XP global
IME tool) that you can use--all you have to do is add the "keyboard" for the
language you want. If you are looking for a Chinese language input, then
follow the next steps:
1. Go to Control Panel.
2. Under "Clock, Language, and Region", click on "Change keyboards or other
input methods".
3. The "Regional and Language Options" window will pop up. Under the
"Keyboards and Languages" tab, click on "Change keyboards..."
4. The "Text Services and Input Languages" window will pop up. On the right
side you will be able to "Add" an input language. Click on "Add", then click
on the specific language input you would like.
For example, if you click on Chinese (Simplified, PRC), you will see
"Keyboard" and "Other". Click on "Keyboard" to select the different ways you
can input the language. Under Chinese (Simplified, PRC), you may choose from
"Microsoft Pinyin IME", "US Keyboard", "QuanPin", "ShuangPin", and "ZhengMa".
Make sure to CHECKMARK the inputs you would like to use.
**Ink Correction 64Bit Only in the "Other" section will automatically be
selected--you can just ignore it. Other than the language input you selected,
I would recommend you select the "Chinese (Simplified) - US Keyboard".
Then click "OK".
5. The language inputs you selected should show up under "Installed
services" in the "Text Services and Input Languages" window. You can add and
remove keyboards, and how the languages are ordered whenever you like.
REMEMBER TO CLICK "Apply". Then you can click "OK", and you'll be done.
