This happens each time:

----------------------------
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family
Update (KB951847) x86
----------------------------
Initializing installation... done!
Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework
3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86 (update 1 of 1)...
----------------------------
The following updates were not installed:
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family
Update (KB951847) x86
----------------------------

How do I get this to Install?

1. Write down the .NET Framework versions which are already installed:

How to determine which versions of the .NET Framework are installed and
whether service packs have been applied
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318785

2. Now see Resolutions Methods 1 or 2 in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100 (ignore the title) then (re)install
each version manually.

Hi PA Bear!

Thank you.

It appears that I have 3.5 SP1(Beta) installed.

However, I don't see any mscorlib.dll in it.

Should I uninstall this on Add/Remove programs?

The only version I see an mscorlib.dll is v2.0.50727

Do I really Need to do this is my next question!
Do I need this update?

Sounds like a good idea. Keeping beta software installed after the actual
product is released is usually a Bad Thing(tm).

Harry.

Hi Harry,

So I uninstalled 3.5 beta,

I re-downloaded 3.5 regular again,
But it still won't install.

I hadthe update icon in my "tray",
I clicked it, but still no "install".

However, it asks for me to
reboot anyway!

I'll rebbot and try it.

Go figure.
