POCKET MONEY to M/S MONEY 2006

I have a Dell X3i which I installed and use Pocket Money in 2003. I did not
have Microsoft Money on my PC to sync with. I bought M/S Money 2006 and
want to sync with my PDA. What is the safest way to do this? Active sync
does not automatically try to sync Money at this time. How do I add it to
list of syncable programs in Active Sync 3.8 and export data to my new M/S
Money 2006? Will a backup to my SD card be enough in case all is lost?

I have not been in this scenario but if you refer to Tip 4 in the readme
file provided with Microsoft Money for Pocket PC, you might be able to
export the data to your desktop.

Note that the version you are using and the version you will have to install
on your device is different. But logically that tip should work. To access
the readme file, if you have installed MS ActiveSync in the default
location, do the following on your desktop:

1. Start -> Run and type:

%programfiles%\Microsoft ActiveSync\microsoft money for Pocket PC

2. And click Ok. This will open the folder containing the readme file.

Recommended to backup the data on to your SD card using a backup program on
your device. That way you should have a copy.
