Pocket PC / Outlook Contacts issue

How do I get my contacts checked as 'private' to NOT sync to my Pocket PC (2003)? I don't see any setting anywhere to exclude these items.

Open ActiveSync, then click Options.
Click Contacts, then click the Settings button (on the right hand
side)
From here, you can choose what contacts to sync and not to sync.
