PocketPC 2000 + Activesync 3.7 opens Internet connection

Hi,

I know it's a kind of dinosaur but I have a Compaq 3630 with PocketPC
2000... I gave it to my mother in law who uses Windows 98 and Activesync 3.7
(actual download). Since I installed it the PC tries to open an internet
connection quite frequently, especially when the PDA is in the cradle. This
wasn't the case before. I also installed Outlook 2000, too, but I don't
think that this is reason for that. With PocketPC 2000 there is no Internet
Pass-Through setting in ActiveSync, so I don't have any idea why it tries to
get connected...

Any idea?

Thanks,

Thomas

Hmm.. PPC 2000... Do you have any favorites bookmarked for sync on the
device? Is the Device meant to sync with Exchange? This could kick off an
internet connection.

Juggs,

thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure if it's even possible to sync with
Exchange using PPC 2000... So no, no exchange and no favorites (but I'll
check that, I didn't define some but perhaps they appeared there from
nothing...)
